RV's,  Elephants and Swimming Pools

Been a long time....spent a few days away with family on vacation...in an RV...and what a wonderful time we had just being away.  We stayed at Basswood Resorts just outside of Platte City, MO and were reintroduced to the world of family camping.  For us, we just needed some alone time to work through the normal daily kinks of family.

I was blessed with some one-on-one time with Connor, Amyia and Serenity at the lakes fishing. We clowned around at the pool together and enjoyed the beautiful weather, campfires and grilling outside.  There were some classic moments...like when we were driving along and saw a large herd of cattle and Serenity screamed out, "Look Mom...elephants!!!"

It was a good reminder for me of how our souls need rest...even if the rest is from caring for and about other souls.  I give God thanks for the full life that I have been blessed with.
